It was a huge honour to be present as the first K-pop artist for the MTV award show and felt even greater to receive the push performance award - Seventeen

BTS, Blackpink and Seventeen all took home wins at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

The star studded event which recognizes the best in the music industry was held on Aug 28 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.and Lisa won Best K-pop for her solo. Lisa beat fellow competitors, BTS, ITZY, Seventeen, Stray Kids and Twice. She became the first solo K-pop star to win that honour at the VMAs.

Blackpink also became the first female K-pop group to perform at the MTV VMAs and the fourth girl group to perform on stage after TLC, the Spice Girls and Fifth Harmony. The famous girl group performed their latest singleLisa thanked producer Teddy, YG Entertainment and all Blackpink fans better known as BLINKS.
