Michael Bloomberg seen as 'long shot' candidate.

Billionaire and philanthropist Michael Bloomberg may be bringing a formidable war chest, name recognition and a brand of centrist politics into the crowded Democratic field with his official candidacy announced on Sunday, but it will be tough for him to unseat the party's current front runners.

The wider American public may well be fascinated by billionaires, as Mr Bloomberg fared better in a Morning Consult poll two weeks ago that asked voters to choose between him and incumbent Republican President Donald Trump. An earlier poll by Rasmussen Reports in February showed the same results.
