WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Beijing was necessary as it set a baseline for engagement with China, says congressman Andy Kim, a Democrat on the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.on Monday – the first meeting between a United States secretary of state and the Chinese leader since 2018 – as well as China’s top diplomat Wang Yi.
