The 27-year-old man will be charged on Saturday (May 11) for the unlawful carrying of a firearm.

The police recovered a service revolver, ammunition and baton from the auxiliary police officer. SINGAPORE: An auxiliary police officer deployed at Changi Airport was arrested in the early hours on Friday for failing to return his service revolver after his duty ended.The police were alerted by security company Certis at about 9.50pm on Thursday. CNA understands that the man is Singaporean.

More than 100 officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, Police Intelligence Department, Central Police Division, Bedok Police Division, Airport Police Division and Special Operations Command responded to the incident. He then changed out of his uniform after duty and left his workplace with the revolver, ammunition and baton without authorisation, said the police.
