SYDNEY – Australians have begun pushing for greater rights to work from home, with research indicating that the nation’s employees are not planning to return to their pre-pandemic work routine.

“There will be a presumption that working from home requests will be approved, unless granting the request would cause unjustifiable hardship to the employer,” says the union’s claim. “Flexibility… will pave the way for the to become an employer of choice for women, parents, people with a disability, people with caring responsibilities and people in rural and regional areas.”

“Face-to-face contact helps to maintain strong working relationships, fosters social connection and builds professional networks.”
