SYDNEY - Australia’s main opposition Liberal Party leader asked a senator to resign on Friday following allegations of sexual misconduct against him by female senators, which he has denied.

A third allegation has also emerged against Mr Van, opposition Liberal Party leader Peter Dutton told the media on Friday, without giving details. Mr Dutton said his decision was not a reflection on Mr Van’s guilt or innocence, and he had referred the matter to the Parliament’s workplace authority for investigation.
