[TOKYO] Asian shares rose marginally in early trade on Thursday, with caution prevailing as investors awaited some kind of resolution to Sino-US trade negotiations, while the euro remained under pressure ahead of the European Central Bank meeting. Read more at The Business Times.

[TOKYO] Asian shares rose marginally in early trade on Thursday, with caution prevailing as investors awaited some kind of resolution to Sino-US trade negotiations, while the euro remained under pressure ahead of the European Central Bank meeting.MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.1 per cent in early trade. It was not far from its five-month high marked last week and was up 10.4 per cent year-to-date.

The ADP National Employment Report showed private payrolls increased by 183,000 in February after surging 300,000 in January. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast private payrolls advancing 189,000 in February. "Chinese macroeconomic data remains weak at the moment but I expect them to improve by the middle of the year," said Okasan's Maeno.

The loans, known more formally as Targeted Long-Term Refinancing Operations , are expected to boost troubled euro zone lenders.
