His father remains an addict today.

He added he kept thinking that if he stopped gambling and depended on a full-time salary to return the money he owed, he would never be able to. Today, he calls this “flawed thinking”.But with encouragement from his girlfriend and his mother, he returned to Singapore and sought help for his addiction.

They mainly bet on sports like football and basketball, and play casino games on illegal gambling websites. Illegal online gambling sites provide credits so that users do not need to come up with upfront cash, she noted.
