Taiwan — It was speculated that Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin had given birth when her businessman husband Charles Lin was spotted at a maternity hospital in Taipei recently.

It was indeed true that the 38-year-old actress has been given the best present ever ahead of her birthday on Oct 29 – she is now a new mother.

On Oct 20, Lin’s management agency also confirmed the good news, adding that she gave birth to her daughter a few days ago. “Thank you for your concern and blessings. Both mother and daughter are well and are recuperating,” they added. For months, Lin’s pregnancy was kept a secret before it was announced by her agency on Sept 29. Since the couple’s marriage in December 2014, it was no secret that they have been trying to start a family.

The actress shared last year that to start a family, she had to turn down several job offers. However, the couple did not see each other for several months due to travel restrictions during the coronavirus outbreak, reportedShe said at that time: “It’s been too dangerous to fly, so [Charles] has been looking after himself and avoiding going out too much [while he’s in the US for work]. “But we’ve kept in touch by texting each other throughout the day.
