Upon arrival, the police found the seven inmates flipping beds, throwing objects out of their rooms and making a “loud ruckus”.

Responding to media queries, the police said on Thursday they received a call for assistance made on Tuesday at about 10.05pm.They were flipping beds, throwing objects out of their rooms and making a “loud ruckus”, said the police, adding that some had damaged the televisions and basins in their rooms.

Run by the Ministry of Social and Family Development , the home is a juvenile residential facility that houses at-risk youngsters aged between 12 and 19. “The police was called in accordance to the Singapore Boys’ Home’s protocols,” added the spokesperson.
