Multiple raids were conducted by the Health Sciences Authority at the residences of a distributor and peddlers. These include a hotel in Geylang and residential addresses in Yishun and Serangoon. They had used Telegram to illegally advertise and supply prohibited items to a large number of people, said HSA in a media release on Friday.
The Tobacco Act prohibits the import, distribution, sale or offer for sale of imitation tobacco products. These includetobacco, smokeless tobacco, chewing tobacco such as Gutkha, Khaini and Zarda, e-vaporisers and their components.
