Two Malaysian men, aged 22 and 29, were arrested for their suspected involvement in using stolen credit card information to make unauthorised transactions. The police were alerted to a case on April 11. Officers from the Anti-Scam Command established the identities of the duo and arrested them on April 16.

Several mobile phones, an ez-link card and cash amounting to more than S$3,000 and 900 ringgit were seized as case exhibits. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men and their accomplices had allegedly provisioned stolen credit card information in mobile payment service in Malaysia, and later used them to make several unauthorised transactions of luxury goods and mobile devices amounting to more than $28,000 in Singapore.The men were to be charged in court on April 18 with abetment by conspiracy to cheat, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.
