Two men were arrested in two separate cases of outrage of modesty in HDB void decks, said police.

In the first case, the victim lodged a police report stating that on Aug 29 about 10.40 pm, she was followed by an unknown man to a block of flats along Hougang Avenue 2. The man allegedly molested her at the void deck. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the 24-year-old man and arrested him on Sept 1.

In the second case, the police were alerted on Sept 1 at about 10pm to a case where the victim was approached and allegedly molested by an unknown man at the void deck of a block of flats along Serangoon North Avenue 1.Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the 65-year-old man and arrested him within three hours of the information received.

In the second case, the man will be charged with the offence of aggravated outrage of modesty against any person below 14 years of age, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than three years and not more than 10 years and with caning.
