Most of the cases have been fully vaccinated and most are asymptomatic or showing only mild symptoms, said LTA Singapore

There are currently seven infection clusters involving bus interchanges, with the latest cluster at Boon Lay Bus Interchange numbering 13 cases.

The largest cluster is at Toa Payoh Bus Interchange, which now numbers 33 cases. The remaining interchanges are located at Bishan, Sengkang, Punggol, Clementi and Jurong East. The 120 drivers represent about 1.3 per cent of the 9,500-strong bus driver workforce. According to LTA, over 95 per cent of bus drivers are already fully vaccinated.

"With the exception of four bus captains, the others who recently tested positive have been fully vaccinated and most are asymptomatic or showing only mild symptoms," said the LTA. Beyond enforcing prevailing safe management measures, PTOs will also be taking additional precautions for mask-off activities for workers. These include ensuring workers take their meal or smoke breaks alone, even if they are fully vaccinated.
