NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Marvin Gomez is tracking a summer-like weekend ahead with possible showers on Sunday afternoon. Hello summer! Not quite the time to say these words but will surely feel like summer in the days ahead.
On Saturday, expect lots of sunshine with temperatures running about 10° higher than average. Our coastal towns will remain a few degrees cooler thanks to a light onshore breeze. Generally winds could gust up to 25 MPH across the region. A few sprinkles are possible late in the evening, aside from that, expect partly cloudy skies with a low near 66°.
Sunday Funday turns warmer with spotty showers developing the afternoon. Not everyone will get the rain but those that do, should see raindrops for a few minutes. No big changes for the first half of the week as the main story for all of us will be temps soaring up into the 90s. Humidity won't be extremely high so it won't feel completely like mid-July.
A cold front will bring showers mid-week and this will mark the end of the 90s and 70s will return for the rest of the week.
