ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Friday has withdrawn his plea seeking dismissal of fake bank accounts case and Park Lane reference.
NAB deputy prosecutor further said that the plea cannot be withdrawn after completion of arguments. The accused are trying to delay the proceedings of the case, he added. In December 2019, former president Asif Ali Zardari was released on medical grounds after an accountability court in Islamabad issued separate robkars [mandamuses] in the Park Lane Estate Company and the money laundering through fake bank accounts cases against him.
