ISLAMABAD – Senator Faisal Vawda on Wednesday stated he would accept whatever decision the Supreme Court announced, more than two weeks after the initiation of contempt proceedings against him for his verbal onslaught directed at high court judges.
The apex court had taken a suo motu notice of Vawda's May 15 press conference, where he had indirectly implied that high court judges had vilified the country’s intelligence agencies.Vawda, who submitted his response to a show-cause notice on Tuesday , said that “seeking forgiveness is not a sin, but it necessitates acknowledging wrongdoing”. He said that one could seek forgiveness even from a person sitting by the side of a road.
