As per the new criteria, an applicant of VC should be a PhD degree holder and also a full-time professor of university. The number of academic qualifications has been reduced from 35 to 25 while ‘experience’ numbers have been increased from 35 to 50. In a revised policy, it has now been decided that out of hundreds of candidates applying for the post of Vice Chancellor, only 15 candidates will be shortlisted for interviews.
