After 47 years, the entire Muslim Ummah gathered in Islamabad. An extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on the situation in Afghanistan has begun. Foreign Ministers of Muslim countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan are present in the esteemed Parliament House. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi welcomed the guests.
Addressing the inaugural session, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the world should rise above all issues to help the Afghan people. Joint efforts must be made to prevent human tragedy. On the other hand, the Secretary General of OIC thanked Pakistan for hosting the conference in Islamabad.
