KARACHI – Supreme Court on Friday has ordered to make Karachi Circular Railways functional in six months.
Meanwhile, Sindh advocate general Salman Talibuddin told that restoration of 24 gates of KCR is a difficult task over which, the CJP expressed resentment and asked why the work has not been started until now. Previously, the top court had sought complete record of buildings exceeding ground plus two-floor structure in Karachi and directed the Sindh chief secretary to submit comprehensive reply in two weeks.Earlier, SC hadCJP Gulzar Ahmed had remarked that Sindh government took responsibility to recover circular railways land in Karachi, however, nothing was done in this regard.
