Shehbaz proposes national government sans PTI for next five years

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz president and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has proposed formation of minus PTI national government for next five years.on Wednesday, Shehbaz said that there should be a national government that would serve the country with all dedication, adding that the formation of such government was his personal idea.

Shehbaz, while speaking to the journalists earlier in the day, said that contacts were being made with the government's allies and it will soon be decided.Reacting to Shehbaz's statement later in the day, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain took exception to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif for an “extra constitutional statement” to form a national government for five years.

He said all the parliamentarians were bound to follow the constitutional provisions as “all [of us] have taken the oath to protect the Constitution,” he added.
