The rain brought a sigh of relief for the people battered by sweltering heat. Owing to gusty winds, trees and poles were uprooted in several cities.
Heavy rain was received in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Khushab, Bhera, Mianwali, Gujranwala and Sheikhupura. In Lahore, thick clouds and winds made the weather pleasant. As many as 170 feeders tripped due to winds. Several areas, including Mughalpura, Harbanspura, Dharmpura, Johar Town, Ferozepur Road and Gulberg plunged into darkness.
