Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Murad Saeed and former federal minister Faisal Vawda on different occasions had claimed that they were aware of the threats to Arshad Sharif.
Pertinent to note, Arshad Sharif was shot dead on the outskirts of Kenya's Nairobi city on October 23 where he was living in self-exile. His death sent shock waves across rights organizations, the media fraternity, and civil society and prompted calls for thorough investigation and disclosure of facts.
The development comes after Vawda in a press conference on Oct.26 claimed that slain Arshad Sharif was shot from a close range and the conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan.“According to me, he was shot at from close range or inside the car. He received 2 bullets, in the head and chest, not 20 bullets,” the former PTI leader added.
