In a significant development, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Saturday extended the tenure of the Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee led by Zaka Ashraf for three months.
The current interim management committee, led by Zaka Ashraf, was originally set to conclude its term on November 5. One notable incident involved a press release that appeared to shift blame onto captain Babar Azam and selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, the latter of whom has since resigned. Ashraf's leadership has faced criticism from members of the management committee, including Zulfiqar Malik and Mustafa Ramday.
