ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM House on Thursday.It is the first meeting of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa with the prime minister after being granted three-year extension in his tenure.On August 21, China had welcomed three-year extension in the tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Pak Army will continue its role for peace in the region. “COAS Qamar Bajwa played a positive role in the Pak-China relations,” said Geng Shuang. On August 19, Prime Minister Imran Khan gave a three-year extension to Chief of Army Staff in view of the ‘regional security environment’.
