Due to security reasons, the Punjab government has decided to close the mobile phone service in all big cities of the province on Ashura .
According to the 24News HD TV channel, mobile phone service will be closed in all big cities almost all day from 5 am to 11 pm. As per the decision of the Punjab government, the mobile phone service will be suspended in the procession routes and adjacent populations especially. In Rawalpindi, the mobile phone service will remain closed in Hamza Camp, Pandora, Syedpur Road, Asgar Mall Road, Pirwadhai and its surrounding areas.
Mobile phones will also remain off in the areas of Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market, Sadiqabad, Glass Factory, Waris Khan, Zafarul Haq Road, Transformer Chowk and Taxila.
