ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday constituted the National Economic Council with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as its chairman, Dunya News reported.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been named as the chairman and the chief ministers of all four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, as members. Meanwhile, four members of the National Economic Council have been nominated by the respective chief ministers under paragraph of clause of Article 156 of the Constitution.
