More than 2,500 police and FC officials have been appointed to perform the security duty at the court premises.
The deployed police contingent includes four SPs, 12 ASPs/DSPs, 20 IPs, 86 USs, 1,522 CSs and 903 FC officials. The city administration has sealed all the routes leading to the high court with containers and barbed wires. A prisoner van has also been parked outside the court. The force has been provided with a water cannon, 3,000 long-range tear gas, and 3,000 short-range shells.
Along with the anti-riot force, the police force has also been given rubber bullets and 2,000 pepper ball guns each. Reporter Farzana Siddique
