The Sindh Home Department had issued a notification of closure of government institutions till August 8 in the wake of coronavirus lockdown, under which all government offices under the Sindh government were announced to be closed from July 31 to August 8.
The meeting decided to lift lockdown in the province, however, it was also decided to tighten the implementation of SOPs in the high rate areas of coronavirus. The meeting also decided that in view of the Muharram and end of lockdown, coronavirus SOPs should be strictly implemented and smart lockdown would be implemented to control Covid-19 in 13 cities including Karachi and Hyderabad.On the other hand, Pakistan had reported 95 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,063,125. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,797.
