They expressed this resolve at a consultative meeting of the leaders of the allied parties in Islamabad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting while it was attended by JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, ruling coalition leaders, and federal ministers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed the allies about his Shanghai Cooperation Organization and UNGA meetings.Federal Minister of Interior Rana Sanaullah briefed about the internal situation of the country in the meeting. He also talked about Imran Khan's long march and the preparations of the government. The meeting also briefed about the cipher, audio leaks, and other related issues.Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar gave a briefing about the country's economy.
The participants reiterated their support for the federal government to thwart any attempt to invade Islamabad. The meeting decided to continue endeavors to revive the economy and steps to keep political stability.
