In a recent appearance on a private television programme, the former Pakistan T20I captain revealed that during his tenure as the national team's captain for the ICC World T20 2012, he had suggested using spider cam technology to display the toss result more clearly.Hafeez highlighted the challenge of the toss result coin moving five to ten metres away when flipped conventionally. He emphasised that his intent is to eliminate any doubts about the credibility of the toss.
Hafeez believes that utilising spider cam technology for the toss could ensure that both the players and the audience have a crystal-clear view of whether it is heads or tails.
