ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court directed concerned authorities to arrest and produce former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in in Al-Azizia and Avenfield cases on Tuesday.
The pleas of Nawaz Sharif for seeking his exemption from personal appearance in the corruption references have been rejected by the high court. The IHC directed concerned authorities to arrest and produce Sharif in the hearings of the corruption cases. Earlier, the Islamabad High Court has ordered former prime minister Nawaz Sharif – who is currently in London – to surrender and present himself before court by September 9 during the Avenfield and Al-Azizia hearing.
