The announcement of PTI chief Imran Khan to touchdown Rawalpindi on November 26 has made the federal government panic to put the security of the capital city on high alert.
The federal government has increased the security of all government buildings and important installations. Additional police contingents have been deployed in the Red Zone. Besides checking exit and entry points of the capital, Red Zone is also being monitored. Police personnel with body cameras will be deployed at the ten entry and exit routes in the expected public order situation. The body cameras will record during public order situations. The recording of body cameras can identify the elements involved in illegal activities.
Body cameras will be used for the first time in Islamabad during public order situations, the sources said. Islamabad Capital Police has also issued a security alert at the entrances and exits of the city. The unnecessary movement will not be allowed while the citizens have been requested to cooperate with the police, they added.
