He was presiding over a meeting on the Ehsaas Rashan Programme on Thursday. He said that the government is taking all-possible steps to provide a relief to the common man."We are extending a subsidy to the deserving people on essential commodities."
During a briefing, the prime minister was apprised that under the programme, a monthly subsidy of Rs1,000 on flour, ghee and pulses will be given to 20 million families that have their monthly income below Rs50,000.
