According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance regarding the prices of petroleum products, the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs Rs224.80 per liter and the price of high-speed diesel at Rs Rs235.30 per liter.
It may be noted that the price of the crude oil is continuously decreasing in the international market. Sources told 24News TV channel that the refineries had proposed Rs10.78 per liter cut in the petrol price, which if implemented, would lead to drop in the price of one liter of petrol from the present Rs224.80 per liter to Rs214.02 per liter.
