ISLAMABAD – Financial Action Task Force President Xiangmin Liu, while expressing satisfaction over steps against terrorism and corruption, has on Friday announced to retain Pakistan on its Grey List.
The decision was taken after a five-day plenary of the FATF. The intergovernmental organization has urged Pakistan to address all tasks that have been given to it. It is worth mentioning here that the FATF has not put Pakistan on Black List despite Indian negative propaganda and false claims against Islamabad.
Pakistan will remain in the 'grey list' of global terror funding watchdog FATF after it was given a fresh deadline of Feb 2020 to act against terror funding. Islamabad got four months' time after it was warned of action by the FATF if it fails to complete its full action plan.
