Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and Parkin to expand EV ‘Green Charger’ stations in prime locations.Since 2015, the EV Green Charger initiative has allowed approximately 130 million kilometers of travel.On Friday, an announcement revealed that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority will install electric vehicle charging stations at paid parking zones throughout Dubai.
Earlier, Parkin had expressed its exploration of monetization opportunities in the EV sector. The company highlighted the crucial role its parking facilities will play in supporting the transition to EVs, emphasizing that the extensive parking network will facilitate easy access to charging services, thereby incentivizing EV adoption.
