Death anniversary of singer Munawar Sultana being observed

LAHORE – Fans are observing 29th death anniversary of famous singer Munawar Sultana on Friday .Later, she recorded songs of the first Pakistani film, Mehdi.

She vocalised songs of dozens of films, including Mahboob, Dastaan, Be Qaraar, Anso, Sar Froosh and Inteqam.She sang four songs in the first ever released Pakistani film Teri Yaad in 1947. Her first super hit song was: Meinu Rabb di Sohn Teray Naal Pyar Ho Geya Way Channa, Sachi Muchi. It was sung in first musical Pakistani film Pheray . She also sang the first ever super hit duet song with Inayat Hussain Bhatti in the same film.
