Sindh has reported 22,934 confirmed cases so far while Punjab is second with 20,654 followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 8,080, Balochistan 3,468, Islamabad 1,728, Gilgit-Baltistan 630 and Azad Kashmir 211.
Unfortunately, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to report most number of deaths as 408 people have so far died in the province. More and more prominent personalities are being affected by the virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Chief Secretary Dr Kazim Niaz and PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam contracted the virus whereas a former provincial minister Hussain Ahmed Kanju died during the past 48 hours.
The region-wise distribution of deaths for the rest of the country is:Sindh 369, Punjab 352, Balochistan 41, Islamabad 17, Gilgit-Baltistan eight and Azad Kashmir two.
