RAWALPINDI: Amidst growing tension with India, Pakistan has successfully carried out the training launch of Shaheen-1, a surface-to-surface ballistic missile, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Monday. The military’s media wing head took to Twitter and said: “Pakistan successfully conducted training launch of SSBM [short-range ballistic missile] Shaheen-1 capable of delivering all types of warheads up to range of 650 KMs.”Shaheen-1 capable of delivering all types of warheads upto range of 650 KMs. Launch was aimed at testing operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command ensuring Pakistan’s credible minimum deterrence.
