ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and former president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi released the questionnaire handed over to him from NAB on media.
According to details, the anti-graft watchdog seeks answers from the ex-minister in seven different inquiries. NAB is probing a case instituted against Abbasi in 2015 for allegedly awarding an LNG import contract at exorbitant rates, which caused a potential $2 billion loss to the national exchequer. The case was registered on a complaint by Shahid Sattar – an energy expert and former member of the Planning Commission and the SSGC board of directors – on July 29, 2015.
The third inquiry is against the illegal appointments in the OGDCL. The fourth inquiry is against the illegal appointments of top officials.Meanwhile, the PML-N has also released the details of accounts and assets of the former president.
