PESHAWAR: Azam Swati has approached the Peshawar High Court on the issue of postponing the Senate elections for not taking the oath of the members of reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

PTI leader Azam Swati’s lawyer, Ali Azeem Afridi, advocate submitted a petition to the Peshawar High Court, in which it has been decided that postponing the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is illegal. The Election Commission of Pakistan issued the decision without hearing the Senate candidates. Those who heard were just elected and they did not even take the oath.
