Islamabad: The safe evacuation of Pakistani citizens from conflict-hit Sudan is continuing and the first convoy of 500 Pakistanis has left Khartoum and reached the Port of Sudan.
Arrangements for temporary residence and food have been made on the instructions of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The Foreign Minister has instructed the authorities concerned to ensure the speedy and safe evacuation of Pakistan citizens from Sudan. He also activated the Crisis Management Cell at the Foreign Office to facilitate the safe evacuation of Pakistanis.
He paid tribute to those who participated in the operation to make the evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Sudan possible.
