According to the Punjab government spokesperson, a record 1.8 m free flour bags were distributed to the poor on March 28 till 12 noon. More than 10 crore people of Punjab will benefit from the free flour scheme.
In the second phase, the Punjab government will give two more bags of 10 kg flour to the citizens who buy one bag free of charge. The spokesperson said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, all provincial ministers and secretaries are visiting the free flour points.
