The amended anti-hazing law was passed as a result of the Senate’s investigation on the senseless killing of University of Santo Tomas freshman law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo III from his supposed fraternity brothers. Investigators are now looking into the involvement of three 3rd class cadets and one 1st class cadet in the death of Dormitorio, who hails from Cagayan de Oro City.
As far as he is concerned, the majority leader said the young men who punched out the life of their fellow cadet “are deemed knowledgeable, disciplined and upright.”
