ZAMBOANGA CITY--Nadagdagan ng panibagong kaso ng COVID-19 ang lungsod na ito matapos na magpositibo sa sakit ang apat na persons deprived of liberty, Biyernes ng gabi.
Ayon kay Dr. Dulce Miravite, City Health Officer, kasalukuyang nasa isang quarantine facility sa loob ng Zamboanga Ecozone ang apat. Sinabi ng Task Force COVID-19, unang nagnegatibo sa inisyal na COVID test ang apat, pero matapos ang 10 araw, nagsagawa ulit ng swab test kung saan dito na naging positibo ang kanilang resulta.Kasalukuyang nasa general quarantine ang lungsod at sa Hunyo 8 naman nakatakdang magbukas muli ang ilang mga negosyo tulad ng barbershop at salon.
Magsisimula na rin ang domestic flights sa Lunes kaya inatasan na rin ng lokal na pamahalaan ang mga barangay sa lungsod na tulungan sila sa pagpapatupad ng health protocols. Isasailalim sa medical assessment ang lahat ng mga pasahero. Ang mga walang sintomas ng COVID-19 ay kailangan pa ring sumailalim sa home quarantine na mahigpit na babantayan ng Barangay Health Response Team, habang ang mga suspected case ay deretso agad sa quarantine facility.
