Women lawmakers laud Duterte stand against Sanchez release

Deputy Majority Leader and Rep. Bernadette Herrera Dy said many Filipinos have been relieved by Duterte’s stand on the issue.

The senior administration solon has asked the BH partylist legal team to review Republic Act 10592 and recommend to her what provisions should be amended to prevent another incident like Sanchez’s bid to regain freedom from happening again in the future. Meanwhile, Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito-Castelo called on the Bureau of Correction to amend the implementing rules and regulations for the implementation of the provision granting good conduct and time allowances embodied under RA 10592.
