A woman reportedly shot her husband and killed herself inside a vehicle in Quiapo, Manila on Thursday, a belated report from the Manila Police District (MPD) showed.

Police identified the woman as Ellaine Timola, 32, who died on the spot due to a gunshot wound in the head. On the other hand, her husband identified as Alex Timola, 32, remains under observation in Mary Chiles Hospital after sustaining a lone bullet wound in the head.

Police Staff Sergeant Roderick Magpale of the Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section MPD said the incident took place in front of the YMCC Building on Bilibid Viejo Street, Quiapo, Manila at around 5:30 p.m. on August 22. Michael Appelido, 31, a security guard of the YMCC Building, said he checked the red car after hearing the gunshots. Appelido said he was surprised to see the bloodied body of a man and a woman.
