Several towns were placed on lockdown until the volcano’s activity slightly deescalated, prompting state volcanologists toAlthough majority of evacuees have been allowed to return home, some 21,00 remain in evacuation centers. Parts of the towns of Agoncillo, Laurel, Balete, Talisay, and San Nicolas remain on lockdown including Taal Volcano Island, which had been a major tourist attraction.The ordeal has caused P3.
