The World Health Organization warned on Saturday that there is no evidence that people who test positive for the new coronavirus are immunized and protected against reinfection.
"There is currently no evidence that people who have recovered from #COVID19 and have antibodies are protected from a second infection," WHO said in a statement. Some governments, wanting a gradual return to work and the resumption of economic activity, have put forward the idea of issuing documents attesting to the immunity of people on the basis of serological tests revealing the presence of antibodies in the blood.
At this point in the pandemic, there is not enough evidence about the effectiveness of antibody-mediated immunity to guarantee the accuracy of an "immunity passport" or "risk-free certificate."
Yes, but there are no reports of reinfection either. Most likely person who fully recovers developed immunity. Reports of after recovery they tested positive again. Science community says test kits only detect the dead remnants of the virus or the person did not fully recovered.
DZMMTeleRadyo Said by WHO ba
That is true. I have read recent reports saying that some recovered patients were infected again.
DZMMTeleRadyo The original article was a carelessly written news article. Can cause unnecessary anxiety and panic, and lead to wrong public health decisions. Next time they want to write a news article to update about recent developments in the pandemic - dont! 🤔
This is True...So dapat talaga ingat tayong lahat...Pray and Stay At Home....🙏🙏
The CCP funded WHO is trying to be relevant or just rumour-mongering?
Why now... Most of the time, viral infections gives the recovered patient immunity, or some resistance at the very least... IF this is true. Then we’re effed. Cos this means that vaccines are more likely to fail... F*ck...
Get stuffed
Here comes WHO again....
